Soakaway replacement in Brockenhurst, Hampshire
Following root-cutting and clearance works carried out some years ago, last week we carried out the recommended remedial measures that had previously been advised. This included installing a new crate-style soakaway, as the existing pipework and soakaway had become severely root-infested, which was causing the downpipes to overflow.
Clearly, over time, this situation could have led to damp ingress and subsequent subsidence. It was therefore encouraging to have the issue addressed and rectified promptly.
We managed to dig down through a clay level and hit gravels so ideal to allow the soakaway to drain efficiently.
