Today's investigation involved clearance and root removal from an old clay surface water pipe located at Bucklers Hard in Hampshire. 🪠
Roots and debris were effectively removed utilizing high-pressure jetting and a Picote Miller, resulting in the restoration of optimal flow. 💦🛠
During the inspection, I discovered several holes and fractures within the pipework that will need to be rectified at a later stage.

Customer contacted us regarding an issue with foul drains that had become obstructed.
Following an intensive high-pressure jetting procedure to clear the blockage, a CCTV survey was conducted to ascertain the underlying cause. It was discovered that roots had infiltrated through a inadequately repaired section of the pipeline.
An excavation was performed to remove the one-meter section, which was subsequently replaced with PVC.
The 16.5-meter length of pipe was then relined beneath the roadway between the manholes, ensuring a watertight seal to avert any potential future fractures.

Following a customer call ☎️ regarding a blocked soakaway with root ingress.
The root ingress was found to have entered the soakaway itself and tracked up the pipe, causing a blockage.
The soakaway has been replaced with a crate style system with new PVC pipework, including a gully trap catch debris. ✅️
